Massachusetts Department Of Greater Education

Greater education presents one of the surest pathways out of poverty and homelessness. When fulfilling the elective requirements, students within the Higher Education Program are required to choose not less than one course that addresses problems with variety, fairness, and inclusion.

In 2001, the Greater Education Program launched the president-in-residenceā€ program, bringing a former college or university president to Harvard to attend lessons, meet with students over coffee or lunch, and advise on every little thing from paper topics to profession selections.

More particularly, the hostile financial conditions currently faced by state governments (e.g. California, Virginia, and Maryland) has had a detrimental impact on state-run schools because of massive finances cuts to state-sponsored providers (together with postsecondary education supplied by the community school, California State University, and the University of California systems, respectively) (Editorial Board, 2009).
